I have the AirPods pro, the galaxy buds+ and Sony wf-1000xm3. The Sony are in my travel kit, but don’t get used. The buds are used for music when I sleep or on long flights – the 11 hour battery life is the killer feature. The AirPods are used the rest of the time. I agree with OP 100% on this… I own both the Sony and Airpod Pros and have iPhone 11 Pro Max. Sony’s sound amazing but I get CONSTANT skipping… It’s unbearable! I’m lucky if I can get through an entire song without the skips. I thought I had a bad pair, so I exchanged them for a new pair, and I am having the same issues. It’s a shame, because when they work they sound awesome. However, the AirPod Pros sound good and work flawlessly every single time I use them which is why I prefer them.

Having superior sound quality that constantly “skips” is not going to cut it. Hopefully sony can figure this out and solve it with a firmware update… – nd3eb

I hear ya. I was 100% for the Sony except for the drops/skips. I couldn’t enjoy the quality because I’d get significant skips every 30 seconds to 2 minutes. It could very well be the iPhone 11 Pro, and so that’s why if you don’t experience the skips and the form factor is comfortable in your ear, the Sony’s outperform the sound and are pretty equal on NC. – famousxrobot

If you are looking for better noise cancelling, comfort and phone call quality then the AirPods Pro win. Sound quality is better on the Sony’s.
